This gorgeous Antique silver gilt brooch is quintessentially Georgian. Dating to c.1830s, it is designed as an oval shape blue enamel plaque with flat cut garnet surround. The central plaque depicts an array of leaves and flowers with a swallow in flight above. The enamelled colours range from royal blue, white, orange and green. Some minor surface wear commensurate with age. With a halo of 16 individually set 3 mm x 3 mm foil back flat cut garnets. Set in sterling grade silver. Some gilding still remains to the back. With a hook pin.
