This Victorian 9ct gold Forget Me Not ring is beautifully enchanting. Featuring five natural turquoise cabochons and a tiny rose cut diamond to the centre. This ring will capture the hearts of all who see it. Forget Me Not and Pansy rings were common jewellery motifs in both the Georgian and Victorian periods. Often stemming from the French pensee ‘think of me’, these floral pieces were usually given as a lover’s gift. The pansy measures 6 mm in diameter and the shank measures 3 mm wide. This ring may have held woven hair around the shank at some point in its history. Beautifully and delicately inscribed inside with C.W. died 3 April 1854. A gorgeous and an increasingly rare collector’s piece of Victorian sentimental jewellery.
