A classically rectangular shaped antique case with push close button to the front. This aesthetic velvet piece is a rich and deep red hue with mahogany and pinkish plum velvet and silk interior. Surface marks and wear as you can see in the photos. The velvet has worn away in a few areas, a detail which adds to the history of this piece in my opinion and creates a layer of visual interest. Box closes nice and tight. Dates to c.1910.
