An aesthetic antique Edwardian high carat gold brooch designed as a crescent moon. The crescent has been beautifully set with a graduated line of pearls with the largest pearl measuring 3 mm in diameter. The crescent has a closed back and pin fitting to the reverse. A beautiful example of antique celestial jewellery that can be worn as a brooch, used as a chain extender or suspended as a pendant with a clasp. Dates to the turn of the 20th century.
