A beautiful antique jewel recently converted to create a Byzantine inspired 9ct gold ring. Set with a central oval purplish-red hue garnet. The garnet measures 7 mm x 4 mm. Surrounded by an exquisite beaded and rope twist detail frame. The ring face measures 16 mm x 12 mm. With split detailed shoulders. On a plain shank. The antique components originally date to the late 1800s, circa 1890s to 1910.
