Dating to the late 1800s, this classic cluster fits neatly into the Victorian era. Claw set with a central old cut diamond and elegantly framed by 10 individually set diamonds. The central diamond is bright, white and measures 6 mm in diameter. It has a couple of small inclusions to one side visible with a loupe. The smaller diamonds are full of antique charm with high crowns and open culets. Two of them draw a little colour. The ring face measures 10.5 mm in diameter. The stones are in lovely condition, with a couple of nibbles to facet edges as would be expected and in keeping with age. Flanked by fluted shoulders and on a plain shank. The cluster is open back, allowing the light to shine through these gorgeous old cut stones. A fine example of English antique jewellery.
