Dating to the first quarter of the 19th century, c. 1820s, this beautiful antique locket was originally a Georgian brooch. Gorgeously converted with a later Victorian 9ct rose gold chain with barrel clasp to create a unique oversize shaker necklace. The locket is glazed to the front and back, and opens and closes with a hinge. The locket measures 38 mm x 30 mm x 6.5 mm. A perfect antique jewel for keeping treasures and keep sakes.
