An aesthetically designed vintage 9ct gold ring set with an oval shaped opal and raspberry red rubies. The opal measures 14 mm x 10 mm and displays a good range of colour, including flashes of green, blue, orange and yellow. Surrounded by a halo of 16 individually set 8 point rubies, totalling an estimated 1.28 carats. The claws and face of the cluster are silver. With a beautifully detailed pierced basket underneath and a plain shank. The ring face measures 22 mm x 16 mm. Dates to the mid 20th century.
