Dating to the end of the 19th century, c. 1880s, this beautiful antique piece is both unsual and useful. Designed as a scrolling decorative frame with centrally suspended dog clasp. Likely to have been a component from an item such as a medal or brooch. The dog clasp opens and closes tightly. Perfect to hang charms and can be worn as an extender. The dog clasp has J.F.S. Sons maker’s mark along the top edge. The dog clasp is a swivel and rotates. A lovely and finely made piece of antique English 9ct gold jewellery.
