Dating between the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries, this beautiful antique jewel fits neatly into the Victorian era, c.1900s. Meticulously designed as a linked series of enamelled panels. Each rectangular shaped panel has been finely decorated, and brightly coloured, with different birds in a range of landscapes. Birds include drakes, cranes, parrots and swallows, to name a few. The panels have sweetly canted corners, and being articulated they move beautifully. With a concealed push clasp that closes nice and tight. The two panels on the end of the bracelet are repeated parrots and likely to be additions to the original bracelet creating greater length. A fabulous antique high carat gold bracelet, the likes of which I have never seen before.
Measurements: each panel measures 16 mm x 12 mm, the bracelet measures 18 cm or 7 inches long
