A decorative antique brooch dating to the Victorian era, c. 1880s. This beautiful jewel has been designed as an engraved marquise set with four oval almandine garnets. The garnets are a delicious deep red with a hint of plum. Measuring 7 mm x 5 mm each. The brooch has a gazed panel to the back, which holds a piece of material. It can used as a locket compartment for treasured keep sakes. The pin fitting is base metal.
