This exquisite brooch has a carefully balanced symmetrical composition. Claw set with an oval 9 mm x 7 mm aquamarine to the centre, totalling an estimated 2.5 carats. The aquamarine is of beautiful colour and very good saturation. Delicately surrounded by scrolling fleur de lis style motifs, beautifully set with x 24 vari size rose cut diamonds. The rose cuts would have been individually hand cut and as a result they all hold their own special character and charm. An estimated total of carats 0.26 diamonds. The diamond and aquamarine cluster measures 22 mm x 22 mm. The beautiful design of this gorgeous piece is typical of the Belle Epoque period and influences which swept the art world around the turn of the 20th century. A perfect piece to wear as a brooch. Or it could be converted and added to a chain to make an antique necklace.
