Dating to the end of the 19th century, c.1880s, this beautiful antique brooch pin fits neatly into the Late Victorian era. Designed as a crescent moon and three twinkling stars, gorgeously set with old cut diamonds. The largest diamonds are estimated to be 5 points each, with an approximate total carat weight of 0.32 carats. The crescent measures 13 mm in diameter and each star measures 5.5 mm wide. With a c shaped clasp fitting to the brooch pin on the back. The diamonds have been set in silver on gold, typical of Victorian jewels of this period. A fine quality and beautifully made antique jewel.
