An aesthetically designed pair of 9ct gold earrings each set with facetted garnets. The garnets are a rich deep wine colour. In the light, they glow and show gorgeous cherry hues with a hint of grape or purplish plum. The round garnets measure 7 mm wide and the oval garnets suspended below measure 10 mm x 8 mm. Combined, the estimated total garnet weight is 8.8 carats. Set within beautifully detailed rope twist frames. The earrings are vintage and date to the mid 20th century. They have an antique Victorian feel to their design. With post and butterfly scroll fittings. Please note the butterflies are later replacements, slightly different in size.
