An aesthetically designed antique pendant, claw set with a beautiful pear shape chrysoberyl. The chrysoberyl is a crisp, light yellow hue with a hint of lime. This lovely clear stone measures 8 mm x 5 mm. Set within a round openwork frame. The pendant dates to the turn of the 20th century, c.1900. Suspended from a contemporary 9ct gold fine chain. This gorgeously designed jewel is both beautiful and unusual. Chrysoberyl is the third hardest natural stone after diamond and sapphire and ruby. Beautifully faceted, it shines as you twist it in the light.
