A beautifully designed vintage 14ct gold ring claw set with a central oval opal. The opal measures 9 mm x 8 mm and displays a strong play of colour with flashes of vivid reds, oranges, blue and some green and purple hues. Surrounded by a halo of 18 raspberry pink rubies. The rubies are estimated to be points 2 each, totalling approximately 0.36 carats. The ring face measures 16 mm x 14 mm. With split detail shoulders which flow into a grooved shank. Dates to c.1960s.
