A beautiful and classically designed antique Victorian 18ct gold ring claw set with three fiery oval opals and four lively old cut diamonds. The opals are full of beautiful colourplay, showing a range of yellow, red, green and blue hues. The central opal measures 6 mm x 4 mm, with a 4 mm x 3 mm opal to either side. With four individually set bright and well matched diamonds, each estimated to be 7.5 points. Approximately 0.30 total carat weight. On a plain shank. Dates to the late Victorian period c.1896. This beautiful piece would make a perfect antique engagement ring.
