An aesthetically designed antique 9 carat gold ring by English jeweller Charles Horner. Set with a lustrous creamy white pearl to the centre and flanked by deep purple hue amethysts. Gorgeously enclosed by a dainty bamboo design frame. Charles Horner is well known for his unique take on art nouveau and arts and crafts style jewellery, predominantly in silver and colourful enamel. Finding a piece of Charles Horner gold jewellery is quite unusual. The ring face measures 6 mm top to bottom. On a plain shank. Lovely hallmarks to the inside of the band show it was assayed in Chester, England, and dates to 1911.
