This beautiful cluster ring dates to the early Victorian era, c.1840s to 1860s. Set with an oval shaped white topaz to the centre, that sparkles beautifully in the light. The topaz is colourless and such stones were often used instead of diamonds in antique jewellery. The topaz measures 6 mm x 5 mm. Beautifully faceted with a high crown, visually it is reminiscent of an old cut diamond. Surrounded by a halo of creamy white pearls. The ring face measures 13 mm x 12 mm. With split detail shoulders and a plain shank, which has been resized. A beautiful antique English ring that is an epitome of the grace and elegance of 19th century jewellery design.
