A beautifully proportioned late Victorian 18ct gold French toi et moi ring. Claw set with a vibrant round amethyst and garnet-topped-doublet in a classic crossover design. Toi et moi signifying you and me, gorgeously sentimental. Each gemstone measures 4 mm in diameter. Set in rich, high carat gold and on a plain shank. Dating to the last quarter of the 19th Century, c. 1875-1890s.
