A beautiful antique ring dating to the Georgian era of the early 1800s. This special jewel would originally have been used as a mourning piece. It has a vacant glazed compartment, perfect for tiny keepsakes or gemstones, to name just a few. The domed glazed window measures 11 mm x 7 mm and can be removed and closed with care. This is unusual since most similar antique panelled rings are sealed. This piece has been gorgeously inscribed to the back. ‘William Hammond Wright Ob 19 May 1814 at 19’. The ring face measures 13 mm x 15 mm. On a plain shank. A beautiful and rare piece of English antique jewellery that is 210 years old. Please note the mini diamonds shown are for demonstration purposes only.
