Dating to the 19th century, this aesthetic piece fits neatly into the late Georgian era. Designed as an unusual starburst seed pearl cluster, also reminiscent of a winter wonderland snowflake. Set with a rich honey hue central paste gem that is foil backed. The pearls are well matched and beautifully lustrous. With crimpled or pie-crust settings. The ring face measures 13 mm x 13 mm. With split shoulder details, a plain shank and a closed back. This lovely and historical piece has clear hallmarks showing it was assayed in London, date letter L for 1826 and a duty mark. It is gorgeous finding antique pieces with duty marks since they are very hard to find. A pretty example of antique English jewellery.
