A beautiful and classically designed three stone 18ct gold ring. Claw set with a central oval sapphire, flanked by two very bright and lively old cut diamonds with open culets. The sapphire is a rich velvet blue and measures 5 mm x 4 mm. Each diamond is estimated to be 25 points each, totalling approximately 0.50 carats. The sapphire and diamonds are set in platinum, on a plain 18ct gold shank. Dates to c.1940s. This gorgeous piece would make a beautiful vintage engagement ring.
