An exceptional antique rose cut diamond 18ct gold ring dating to c.1800 – 1820s. This aesthetic piece fits into the Georgian era and was lovingly made in France. Set with a central 6 mm x 6.2 mm rose cut diamond in a closed back setting. The diamond is bright and lively, its gorgeous facets catch the light beautifully. Surrounded by a very pretty openwork design and a halo of rose cut diamonds set in sweet leaf shaped frames. This French delight has been meticulously decorated with scrolling gold details and a rich and royal blue enamel. On a plain shank. Please note there are a couple of small areas of enamel lacking the the bottom of each shoulder, this does not detract from the overall magical beauty of the piece in my opinion. An estimated total of 1.24 carats. The box shown is for demonstration purposes. A fabulous and rare example of antique French jewellery.
Measurements: UK ring size P to P 1/2 or US size 7 1/2 to 7 3/4
Weighs: 3.87 grams
