A Late Victorian 18ct gold ring claw set with ethereal emeralds and bright old cut diamonds. The emeralds are of exceptional colour with excellent saturation and very good transparency. Each emerald measures approx. 5.5 mm x 3 mm, totalling an estimated 0.8 carats combined. Nestled beautifully between vari-size, white and lively old cut diamonds. The largest diamonds are estimated to be 12 points each. A total of approx. 0.50 carats combined. The diamonds are very well matched, eye clean and full of fire. The ring face measures 19 mm x 6 mm. With a finely detailed scroll work gallery and a plain shank. Dating to c. 1880s. This exquisite piece would make a perfect antique engagement ring.
