Exceptional Victorian 9ct gold garnet and rose cut diamond fly bug ring
This delicious garnet cabochon glows beautifully when twisted in the light and measures 13 mm x 10 mm. Detailed with the sweetest rose cut diamond fly or bug. The fly is set with three bright and very lively diamonds. He measures 8 mm x 5 mm. Flanked by split detail shoulders and a plain shank. Dates to c.1880s. A fabulously made antique English ring and a wonderful example of the Victorian fascination with novelty.
