Dating to the first quarter of the 19th century, this very pretty piece fits neatly into the late Georgian era. Exquisitely made with a beautiful halo of lustrous pearls surrounding a rich red oval shape ruby. The ruby and pearls are set in a foil closed back setting. Cluster measures 10 mm x 8 mm. Flanked by finely detailed floral shoulders and a fluted shank. The detailing in this piece is inspiring I think. A wonderful example of antique English jewellery.
